United Way Offering Tax Assistance in 2018

The Volunteeer Income Tax Assistance program sponsored by the United Way of Knox County is offering assistance to those needing help in filling out their tax returns.

United Way Director Mark Hill says VITA volunteers will be available during the month of February.

No appointment is required. Persons should bring a photo I.D. and their social security card as well as all tax forms and receipts necessary to complete their tax return.

Drop off sites include the Knox County Public Library and the Bicknell-Vigo Library.

Hill emphasized that this is a free service.
