  • A copy of these Contest Rules can be obtained at the offices of radio station Blazer 91.1 WVUB-FM (the “Station”) owned and operated by Vincennes University, DH 64, 1200 North 2nd Street, Vincennes, IN 47591, during normal business hours Monday through Friday or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the above address.
  • The Station will conduct all Contests, including on-air contests, email and online contests held on www.wvubhd.com,  and contests conducted through the Station’s social networking accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter), substantially as described in these rules, and by participating each participant agrees as follows:
  • No purchase is necessary.  Void where prohibited.  All federal, state, and local regulations apply.
  • Unless otherwise specified, only legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older with a valid Social Security number at the time of entry are eligible to participate in this Station contest.
  • Unless otherwise specified, employees, agents and affiliates of Vincennes University Broadcasting and its underwriting representatives, contest sponsors, other radio, television and print advertising companies serving the Station’s metro area, and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible to participate or win Station contests.  The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, siblings, grandparents, children, grandchildren and cohabiting significant others.
  • To qualify for the daily prize, the participant must be the first caller or texter with the correct answer. Qualifiers must be at least 18 years of age. WVUB management reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for cause (i.e. contest tampering by a competing station, fraud, etc.)
  • The contest runs daily from Noon (eastern time) Thursday, January 1st through Thursday December 31st at 12:30 p.m.(eastern time).
  • Potential contest winners will be selected by and at the Station in its sole discretion.  If it is determined by the Station that a candidate is not eligible to receive a prize, another candidate may be selected for eligibility consultation and this process will continue on until such time as an eligible candidate is found.  In the unlikely event that no candidates are found to meet the specifications, then the prize will go un-awarded.  In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by and at the sole discretion of the Station.
  • Time Delay between Over-the-Air Analog Signal and Other Signal Delivery: Due to the time delay that exists between the Station’s analog over-the-air signal, HD signal and the Station’s online webcast, listeners who listen to the Station online may hear Contest information or a cue to call later than listeners listening to the Station’s analog over-the-air signal. As a result, the odds of an online listener winning this Contest may be diminished.
  • Unless otherwise stated, the odds of winning this Station contest depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to the number of eligible entries received and the number of listeners participating at any given time.
  • The Prize for this contest will consist of:

1)      Gift Certificate from Sunsational Tans and a weekly prize of a gift certificate from Luxe Salon

Total estimated retail value of this prize pack is $50 dollars (U.S.)

  • All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner.  All those who win a prize or prizes valued $600 or more will be issued an IRS Form 1099 to report their winnings.
  • All prizes are awarded “as is.”   Prizes are nontransferable and cannot be exchanged, sold, or redeemed for cash or other prizes. No substitute prize will be awarded to a winner who declines to accept a prize. The Station shall not be responsible for a failure of participating sponsors to deliver the prizes or any part thereof.
  • An individual may win a Station contest only once per month unless otherwise specifically stated.   An individual may win other seasonal or one-time contests. like this one, only once for the duration of the contest.  The Station reserves the right to limit the number of times an individual may enter a contest or drawing.
  • All entrants and winners agree that the Station shall have no liability for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property incurred by entering, participating in, winning, or losing any contest and/or by the use or non-use of any prize received in connection with this contest.
  • Unless otherwise stated, all prizes must be claimed in person at the Station at the address identified above during regular business hours and within ten (10) business days of winning, excluding holidays.  After such time, ownership of said prize reverts back to the Station to be disposed of at its discretion.  The winner then loses all claims and rights to said prize.  Proper identification must be presented by any winner to claim prize.  As a condition to receiving the prize, any potential winner must willing to complete and sign a Winner’s Affidavit and Release, releasing the Station from all liability in connection with winner’s participation in the contest and acceptance, use, or non-use of the prize.
  • All entrants and winners agree to give the Station and its licensees, affiliates, successors, and assigns the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use, re-use, broadcast, or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including portraits and pictures, in whole or in part, as part of a composite, retouched or distorted in character or form, and voice, recorded or live, for any reason the Station deems necessary without compensation, unless prohibited by law.  All entrants and winners release, discharge, and agree to hold the Station harmless from any and all claims they may have against the Station in connection with the foregoing.  All entrants and winners further acknowledge that the Station owns or will own exclusively any photographs of them used for such purposes, including the copyrights in them, regardless of the form in which they have been or may be produced and used, and all entrants and winners assign all such ownership rights to the Station.
  • By participating in a Station contest, each participant agrees to receive email communications from the Station regarding Station events and contests. Any participant that opts-out of these mailings will also remove themselves from the contest.  By participating in the contest, where allowed by law, participants agree that the Station may disclose personal information obtained from participants in the contest to third parties and use such information for marketing and other purposes.
  • By participating in a Station contest, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of Station personnel. Participants who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified. Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited. The Station will interpret these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities concerning the rules or the contest and all Station decisions concerning such disputes shall be final. If the conduct or outcome of a contest is affected by human error, any mechanical malfunctions or failures of any kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control of the Station, the Station reserves the right to terminate the contest, or make such other decisions regarding the administration or outcome as the Station deems appropriate. All decisions will be made by the Station are final. The Station may waive any of these rules in its sole discretion. ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY CIRCUMVENT, DISRUPT OR DAMAGE ORDINARY AND NORMAL OPERATION OF A STATION CONTEST, TELEPHONE SYSTEMS OR WEBSITES, OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF A STATION CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, STATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
  • By participating in this contest, each participant agrees to waive any and all claims for damages for death, personal injury, loss of property or property damage that he or she may sustain as a result of his or her participation in the contest and/or the use of any prize, and any damages or losses arising from the implementation or carrying out of the contest or any participant’s failure to win the contest or receive the prize, and to release Vincennes University, the Station, and affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with his or her participation in the contest, even though that liability may arise out of an intentional act, omission, negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above.
  • A winners list may be obtained five (5) days after the conclusion of any Station contest by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Station at the address first written above.

 Indiana Caverns Give-away August 24-28, 2015

OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.

1. HOW TO ENTER

a. These rules govern the Ticket Giveaway (the “Promotion”), which is being conducted by WVUB-FM The Promotion begins on Monday, August 24, 2015 and ends on Friday, August 28, 2015.

b. To enter the Promotion, you may call the station studio line at (812) 888-4347 when alerted by the sounder beginning on Monday August 24, 2015 at 8:00 am Eastern Time (“ET”) and ending at 4:00 pm on Friday August 28, 2015 ET.

The contest will be carried out via phone call. During the contest time period; listeners may go to the station website to preview the sounder. By calling the station and being the correct number of caller designated by air staff, he or she will coordinate with the designated staffer to retrieve contact information and then arrange for prize pick-up. The winner’s name will also be announced on-air and publicized through the station’s digital media platforms, including social media sites and website.

Vincennes University Broadcasting WVUB FM known as The Blazer 91.1 WVUB will in no way be liable or responsible for the failure of any phone, other calling instrument, computer, or other device, no matter the reason for the person’s inability to complete the registration process.

c. There will be to a total of 20 winners.

d. Due to delays in the online streaming of the Station’s broadcast signal, listeners to the online stream may not be able to participate in or may be disadvantaged in participating in on-air contests. Entrants are encouraged to listen to the Station on-air. The Station is not responsible for online streaming delays.

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

a. The Promotion is open to all persons who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the geographic listening area of the station. Employees of  Vincennes University Broadcasting, the Station, the Station’s Underwriting Agent (collectively, “Promotion Entities”), their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, Station’s advertising and promotional agencies and participating sponsors, other radio stations in the Evansville/Vincennes metropolitan areas, the members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling or child) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not), are ineligible to enter or win. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Entrants are responsible for complying with these Official Rules.

b. Listeners are eligible to win a prize from the Station only once every thirty (30) days, and listeners are eligible to win a prize in a Promotion conducted by the Station only once every sixty (60) days if the prize is valued over $600 and only once per year if prize is valued over $1,000. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any Station promotion.

c. The winners may be required to present valid government-issued photo identification and must provide their complete address, date of birth and phone number to claim a prize.

d. Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility requirements and will also delete any entry as required by law.

3. PRIZES

a. 20 prizes will be awarded during this contest. The prizes will consist of one (1) pass (valid for winner and one (1) guest) to obtain admittance to Indiana Caverns in Corydon, IN anytime during the 2015 season. The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each ticket is $35. The winner will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize. The prize is awarded as is. Tickets valid only on the date(s) printed on the tickets. Tickets are not refundable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced. Tickets may not be sold to a third party. If a prize-related event does not take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond the control of the Promotion Entities, their sole responsibility to the winner will be to award the remaining available elements of the prize and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the un-awarded elements of the prize.

b. No more than the stated number of prizes specified in these official rules will be awarded. All prizes or prize certificates for this contest will be mailed to the winner, with the prior consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.

c. The Prize(s) is not transferable, and no substitution, assignment, or cash equivalent of prize is permitted, except by the Station (solely at its discretion), which reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize portion with another prize or prize portion of greater or equal value. The prize(s) are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and unless otherwise expressly specified, do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Entrants acknowledge that the Promotion Entities have not made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranties, representations or guarantees, and hereby disclaim any and all warranties expressed or implied, in fact or in law, whether now or hereafter enacted concerning any prize, including without limitation, implied warranties of quality, merchantability, mechanical condition, or fitness for a particular purpose, except for any express manufacturer’s warranty as may be included with the prize or as may be separately provided to participants by law. Other restrictions may apply.

4. POTENTIAL WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

a. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the Promotion are final.

b. One (1) winner will be selected as described in Section 1 of these Official Rules.

c. Odds of winning a prize depend in part upon the number and order of calls/texts received.

d. Entrants must listen to the Station to win a prize, but need not be present.

g. Potential prize winners will be notified at the time of their call. Prizes will be awarded only upon confirmation of eligibility and completion of all requisite releases. The winner must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release. If a potential winner cannot be contacted or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner forfeits the prize.

5. CONDITIONS

a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner. The winner may be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize and will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station (or any other CBS Radio station in Station’s market) in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize. Such winnings of $600 or more will be reported to the IRS.

b. Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize constitutes entrant’s and/or winner’s (and guest’s, if applicable) permission for the Station or its agents to interview the winner(s) (or guest(s), if applicable), to photograph, film, and record each winner (or guest, if applicable), and to use in commerce and in any media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, his/her name, prize won, hometown (city and state), biographic information, likeness, photograph, voice, audio or video recording, and/or any statements made by him/her regarding the Station, the Promotion, and/or its sponsor(s) for purposes of trade, publicity, or promotion without notice or additional compensation, notification, or permission, in perpetuity except where prohibited by law.

c. Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize constitutes entrant’s and/or winner’s (and guest’s, if applicable) agreement to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Promotion’s sponsor(s), the Station, its licensee, their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, their advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers, and participating sponsors, and their respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives and all of their successors and assigns (collectively, “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize and participation in the Promotion, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, which may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or participation in Promotion, or delivery, possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any Promotion-related activity, including but not limited to any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery.

d. If for any reason this Promotion cannot be executed as planned, including but not limited to, as a result of infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Released Parties that corrupt or affect the security, administration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, or if the Promotion is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, the Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend, and/or modify the Promotion. If the Promotion is terminated before the original end date, the Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion to, to modify the procedure for selecting winners, unless the nature of the event giving rise to such termination renders it impossible to select winner(s).

e. The Released Parties are not responsible for (i) typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering, or the administration of the Promotion or in the announcement of a prize; (ii) incorrect or inaccurate entry information, human error, failure, or omission; (iii) unauthorized human intervention; (iv) lost, stolen, mangled, misdirected, postage due, illegible, incomplete, or late entries; (v) entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties and other technological problems or for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, poor signals or signal interference, accidental disconnection, equipment malfunctions, and any other technological failures of any kind; or (vi) any cancellations, delays, diversions, or substitutions or omissions whatsoever by any transportation providers or any other persons or entities providing any services to winner(s) (and guest(s), if applicable) including any results thereof such as changes in services or location necessitated by same. Further, the Released Parties are not responsible if any part of a Promotion prize that cannot be awarded due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather, acts of terrorism, or other factors beyond the Released Parties’ control.

f. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods may void that entrant’s entries and that entrant may be disqualified. The use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. Any use of robotic, repetitive, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods or agents (including, but not limited to, promotion entry services or proxies) will void all entries by that entrant at the Station’s discretion. The Promotion administrator’s computer or telephone system is the official time keeping device for this Promotion. In the event of a dispute, online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the Authorized Account Holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized Account Holder” means the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. For phone or mobile entries, the authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the text or mobile telephone number by a telecommunications provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning such numbers. The Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Station’s website. Failure to comply with the rules of the Promotion may result in an entrant’s disqualification and/or forfeiture of any prize or prizes. If the Station makes a good faith determination that an entrant has cheated or committed fraudulent activity in connection with a Promotion, the Station reserves the right to disqualify that entrant from entering and/or winning this and future Station-administered Promotions and to prosecute and seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

If the Promotion is terminated before the original end date, the Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion to, to modify the procedure for selecting winners, unless the nature of the event giving rise to such termination renders it impossible to select winner(s).

e. The Released Parties are not responsible for (i) typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering, or the administration of the Promotion or in the announcement of a prize; (ii) incorrect or inaccurate entry information, human error, failure, or omission; (iii) unauthorized human intervention; (iv) lost, stolen, mangled, misdirected, postage due, illegible, incomplete, or late entries; (v) entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties and other technological problems or for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, poor signals or signal interference, accidental disconnection, equipment malfunctions, and any other technological failures of any kind; or (vi) any cancellations, delays, diversions, or substitutions or omissions whatsoever by any transportation providers or any other persons or entities providing any services to winner(s) (and guest(s), if applicable) including any results thereof such as changes in services or location necessitated by same. OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.

1. HOW TO ENTER

a. These rules govern the Ticket Giveaway for artist Jake Gill, which is being conducted by WVUB-FM The Promotion begins on Monday, September 14, 2015 and ends on Monday September 14, 2015.

b. To enter the Promotion, you may call the station studio line at (812) 888-4347 when alerted by the sounder beginning on Monday September 14, 2015 at 8:00 am Eastern Time (“ET”) and ending at 4:00 pm on Monday September 14, 2015 ET.

The contest will be carried out via phone call. By calling the station and being the correct number of caller designated by air staff, he or she will coordinate with the designated staffer to retrieve contact information and then arrange for prize pick-up. The winner’s name will also be announced on-air and publicized through the station’s digital media platforms, including social media sites and website.

Vincennes University Broadcasting WVUB FM known as The Blazer 91.1 WVUB will in no way be liable or responsible for the failure of any phone, other calling instrument, computer, or other device, no matter the reason for the person’s inability to complete the registration process.

c. There will be to a total of 3 winners.

d. Due to delays in the online streaming of the Station’s broadcast signal, listeners to the online stream may not be able to participate in or may be disadvantaged in participating in on-air contests. Entrants are encouraged to listen to the Station on-air. The Station is not responsible for online streaming delays.

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

a. The Promotion is open to all persons who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the geographic listening area of the station. Employees of  Vincennes University Broadcasting, the Station, the Station’s Underwriting Agent (collectively, “Promotion Entities”), their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, Station’s advertising and promotional agencies and participating sponsors, other radio stations in the Evansville/Vincennes metropolitan areas, the members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling or child) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not), are ineligible to enter or win. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Entrants are responsible for complying with these Official Rules.

b. Listeners are eligible to win a prize from the Station only once every thirty (30) days, and listeners are eligible to win a prize in a Promotion conducted by the Station only once every sixty (60) days if the prize is valued over $600 and only once per year if prize is valued over $1,000. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any Station promotion.

c. The winners may be required to present valid government-issued photo identification and must provide their complete address, date of birth and phone number to claim a prize.

d. Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility requirements and will also delete any entry as required by law.

3. PRIZES

a. 3 prizes will be awarded during this contest. The prizes will consist of two (2) tickets (valid for winner and one (1) guest) to obtain admittance to the Jake Gill concert at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center on Wednesday September 16, 2015. The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each ticket is $25. The winner will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize. The prize is awarded as is. Tickets valid only on the date(s) printed on the tickets. Tickets are not refundable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced. Tickets may not be sold to a third party. If a prize-related event does not take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond the control of the Promotion Entities, their sole responsibility to the winner will be to award the remaining available elements of the prize and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the un-awarded elements of the prize.

b. No more than the stated number of prizes specified in these official rules will be awarded. All prizes or prize certificates for this contest will be mailed to the winner, with the prior consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. c. 4. POTENTIAL WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

a. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the Promotion are final.

b. One (1) winner will be selected as described in Section 1 of these Official Rules.

c. Odds of winning a prize depend in part upon the number and order of calls/texts received.

d. Entrants must listen to the Station to win a prize, but need not be present.

g. Potential prize winners will be notified at the time of their call. Prizes will be awarded only upon confirmation of eligibility and completion of all requisite releases. The winner must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release.   • The Station will conduct all Contests, including on-air contests, email and online contests held on www.wvubhd.com,  and contests conducted through the Station’s social networking accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter), substantially as described in these rules, and by participating each participant agrees as follows:
  • No purchase is necessary.  Void where prohibited.  All federal, state, and local regulations apply.
  • Unless otherwise specified, only legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older with a valid Social Security number at the time of entry are eligible to participate in this Station contest.

  • Time Delay between Over-the-Air Analog Signal and Other Signal Delivery: Due to the time delay that exists between the Station’s analog over-the-air signal, HD signal and the Station’s online webcast, listeners who listen to the Station online may hear Contest information or a cue to call later than listeners listening to the Station’s analog over-the-air signal. As a result, the odds of an online listener winning this Contest may be diminished.
  • Unless otherwise stated, the odds of winning this Station contest depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to the number of eligible entries received and the number of listeners participating at any given time.
  • The Grand Prize for this contest will consist of:

  • All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner.  All those who win a prize or prizes valued $600 or more will be issued an IRS Form 1099 to report their winnings.
  • All prizes are awarded “as is.”   Prizes are nontransferable and cannot be exchanged, sold, or redeemed for cash or other prizes. No substitute prize will be awarded to a winner who declines to accept a prize. The Station shall not be responsible for a failure of participating sponsors to deliver the prizes or any part thereof.
  • An individual may win a Station contest only once per month unless otherwise specifically stated.   An individual may win other seasonal or one-time contests. like this one, only once for the duration of the contest.  The Station reserves the right to limit the number of times an individual may enter a contest or drawing.
  • All entrants and winners agree that the Station shall have no liability for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property incurred by entering, participating in, winning, or losing any contest and/or by the use or non-use of any prize received in connection with this contest.
  • Unless otherwise stated, all prizes must be claimed in person at the Station at the address identified above during regular business hours and within ten (10) business days of winning, excluding holidays.  After such time, ownership of said prize reverts back to the Station to be disposed of at its discretion.  The winner then loses all claims and rights to said prize.  Proper identification must be presented by any winner to claim prize.  As a condition to receiving the prize, any potential winner must willing to complete and sign a Winner’s Affidavit and Release, releasing the Station from all liability in connection with winner’s participation in the contest and acceptance, use, or non-use of the prize.

  • All entrants and winners agree to give the Station and its licensees, affiliates, successors, and assigns the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use, re-use, broadcast, or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including portraits and pictures, in whole or in part, as part of a composite, retouched or distorted in character or form, and voice, recorded or live, for any reason the Station deems necessary without compensation, unless prohibited by law.  All entrants and winners release, discharge, and agree to hold the Station harmless from any and all claims they may have against the Station in connection with the foregoing.  All entrants and winners further acknowledge that the Station owns or will own exclusively any photographs of them used for such purposes, including the copyrights in them, regardless of the form in which they have been or may be produced and used, and all entrants and winners assign all such ownership rights to the Station.
  • By participating in a Station contest, each participant agrees to receive email communications from the Station regarding Station events and contests. Any participant that opts-out of these mailings will also remove themselves from the contest.  By participating in the contest, where allowed by law, participants agree that the Station may disclose personal information obtained from participants in the contest to third parties and use such information for marketing and other purposes.
  • By participating in a Station contest, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of Station personnel. Participants who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified. Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited. The Station will interpret these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities concerning the rules or the contest and all Station decisions concerning such disputes shall be final. If the conduct or outcome of a contest is affected by human error, any mechanical malfunctions or failures of any kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control of the Station, the Station reserves the right to terminate the contest, or make such other decisions regarding the administration or outcome as the Station deems appropriate. BLAZER HAUNTED STUDIO Official Contest Rules October 2015

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. HOW TO ENTER

a. The “BLAZER  HAUNTED STUDIO” contest (the “Contest”) will begin on Friday, October 9th, 2015 at 6:00AM Eastern Time (“ET”) and end on Friday, October 30th, 2015 at 11:59 PM ET (the “Contest Period”). Due to the random nature of the contest, if all prizes are distributed prior to October 30th, 2015 Contest will be ended and the rules amended.

b. To participate in the contest, you may enter via the following method:

Tune into Blazer 91.1 WVUB HD (the “Station”) during the Contest Period for the on air host to announce for the “Haunted Studio” to air sometime between 7am ET and 6pm ET. When you hear the on air host announce “Haunted Studio”  be the 9th  caller into the Station contest line at 812-888-4347 to play the Blazer Haunted Studio, pending confirmation of eligibility.

The caller will be asked to join the host on-air and select one of three scary movie characters who may be “trick or treating” the studio. The on-air host will then use a random mechanism to identify the scar movie character. If the revealed character is the same as the one named by the caller, the caller will then be awarded a prize. If the caller does not match the character that is revealed, the caller will then be invited to play the contest again.

At the time of their call, each caller will be required to give their first and last name. The “Haunted Studio” will be played a minimum of (3) three times daily during the Contest Period with the exception of weekends and Monday, October 19th, 2015 (Due to Power Outage and VU’s Fall Break).

c. The Station is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call.

d. For those listening to the Station stream on the Internet: Please be advised that you may be listening to a delayed stream of the radio signal, which may vary depending on your computer’s memory capacity and your connection. For that reason, we strongly recommend that you tune your radio to the Station to participate in this or any other call-in contest to be sure you are participating in “real time.” The Station assumes no responsibility for contestants not making timely phone calls to the station as a result of the delays in the Internet stream.

e. There is no limit to the number of times a listener may attempt to call in to win, but a listener may only win once.

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

a. The contest is open to all persons who reside within the Over the Air coverage area of  WVUB-FM. Employees of the Station, its licensee, and affiliates, its advertising and underwriting agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Evansville metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and/or households are ineligible to participate or win. Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

b. Only one winner per household is permitted in any Station contest. A listener may not win a Station contest if a member of his/her family or household has won a Station contest within 30 days.

3. PRIZE

a. Twenty-seven (27) PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED. Each winner will receive a pair of tickets for one of several area performances and/or amusements. The Aggregate Retail Value of prizes to be awarded is $40 for Andy Gross tickets and $40 for Disney Live and $40 for Cabaret at VU and .  The Aggregate Retail Value of prizes to be awarded is $16 for Knepp’s Fun Fest.

b. Winners of tickets for Andy Gross will be on a will call list taken to the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center.  Winners of Disney Live tickets will need to pick up tickets at  WVUB-FM , Cabaret ticket winners will be able to pick up tickets at the will call window at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center, and winners of the Knepp’s Fun Fest prize pack will be asked to pick up their prize at our offices located at 1200 North 2nd Street, Davis Hall, Vincennes University, Vincennes, IN 47591. between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST. In the case of physical tickets, rather than will call tickets, WVUB will mail the tickets to the winner at the mailing address they provide. However, the winner must send an email with a verifiable address and request the prize be sent in writing. WVUB-FM will not be responsible for prizes that are lost in the mail or delivered late or to the wrong address.

c. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that station may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.

4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

a. Decisions of Station management with respect to the contest are final.

b. Twenty-seven (27) winners will be selected in accordance with Section 1b of these rules.

c. Odds of winning depend on number and order of calls received.

d. Winners must listen to win, but need not be present to win.

e. Winner needs to listen to Station to win. Winner must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form within ten (10) days of notification attempt or prize will be forfeited.

5. CONDITIONS

a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize.

b. By participating in the contest, the winner agrees to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising, online or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation.

c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station in its sole discretion may require contest winner (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, promotional partners, prize providers, its corporate licensee, its and their parent, subsidiary, related, and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the use or redemption of the prize or participation in the contest.

d. The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be

required to award a substitute prize. In addition, the Station is not responsible for any traffic or other travel delays, cancellations, postponements, overbooking or rescheduling due to any problem beyond its control.

e. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of the Station.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.

1. HOW TO ENTER

a. These rules govern the Ticket Giveaway (the “Promotion”), which is being conducted by WVUB-FM The Promotion begins on Monday, November 23, 2015 and ends on Wednesday November 25, 2015.

b. To enter the Promotion, you may call the station studio line at (812) 888-4347 when alerted by the sounder beginning on Monday November 23, 2015 at 8:00 am Eastern Time (“ET”) and ending at 4:00 pm on Wednesday November 25, 2015 ET.

 

The contest will be carried out via phone call. During the contest time period; listeners may go to the station website to preview the sounder. By calling the station and being the correct number of caller designated by air staff, he or she will coordinate with the designated staffer to retrieve contact information and then arrange for prize pick-up. The winner’s name will also be announced on-air and publicized through the station’s digital media platforms, including social media sites and website.

 

 

Vincennes University Broadcasting WVUB FM known as The Blazer 91.1 WVUB will in no way be liable or responsible for the failure of any phone, other calling instrument, computer, or other device, no matter the reason for the person’s inability to complete the registration process.

 

c. There will be to a total of 5 winners.

d. Due to delays in the online streaming of the Station’s broadcast signal, listeners to the online stream may not be able to participate in or may be disadvantaged in participating in on-air contests. Entrants are encouraged to listen to the Station on-air. The Station is not responsible for online streaming delays.

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

a. The Promotion is open to all persons who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the geographic listening area of the station. Employees of  Vincennes University Broadcasting, the Station, the Station’s Underwriting Agent (collectively, “Promotion Entities”), their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, Station’s advertising and promotional agencies and participating sponsors, other radio stations in the Evansville/Vincennes metropolitan areas, the members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling or child) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not), are ineligible to enter or win. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Entrants are responsible for complying with these Official Rules.

b. Listeners are eligible to win a prize from the Station only once every thirty (30) days, and listeners are eligible to win a prize in a Promotion conducted by the Station only once every sixty (60) days if the prize is valued over $600 and only once per year if prize is valued over $1,000. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any Station promotion.

c. The winners may be required to present valid government-issued photo identification and must provide their complete address, date of birth and phone number to claim a prize.

d. Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility requirements and will also delete any entry as required by law.

3. PRIZES

a. 5 prizes will be awarded during this contest. The prizes will consist of one (2) tickets (valid for winner and one (1) guest) to obtain admittance to Holiday Tribute to Motown; Shadow’s of the 60’s in Evansville, IN at the Victory Theatre on December 19, 2015. The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each ticket is $29. The winner will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize. The prize is awarded as is. Tickets valid only on the date(s) printed on the tickets. Tickets are not refundable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced. Tickets may not be sold to a third party. If a prize-related event does not take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond the control of the Promotion Entities, their sole responsibility to the winner will be to award the remaining available elements of the prize and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the un-awarded elements of the prize.

b. No more than the stated number of prizes specified in these official rules will be awarded. All prizes or prize certificates for this contest will be mailed to the winner, with the prior consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize constitutes entrant’s and/or winner’s (and guest’s, if applicable) permission for the Station or its agents to interview the winner(s) (or guest(s), if applicable), to photograph, film, and record each winner (or guest, if applicable), and to use in commerce and in any media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, his/her name, prize won, hometown (city and state), biographic information, likeness, photograph, voice, audio or video recording, and/or any statements made by him/her regarding the Station, the Promotion, and/or its sponsor(s) for purposes of trade, publicity, or promotion without notice or additional compensation, notification, or permission, in perpetuity except where prohibited by law.

c. Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize constitutes entrant’s and/or winner’s (and guest’s, if applicable) agreement to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Promotion’s sponsor(s), the Station, its licensee, their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, their advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers, and participating sponsors, and their respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives and all of their successors and assigns (collectively, “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize and participation in the Promotion, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, which may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or participation in Promotion, or delivery, possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any Promotion-related activity, including but not limited to any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery.

d. If for any reason this Promotion cannot be executed as planned, including but not limited to, as a result of infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Released Parties that corrupt or affect the security, administration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, or if the Promotion is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, the Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend, and/or modify the Promotion. If the Promotion is terminated before the original end date, the Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion to, to modify the procedure for selecting winners, unless the nature of the event giving rise to such termination renders it impossible to select winner(s).

e. a. These rules govern the Ticket Giveaway (the “Promotion”), which is being conducted by WVUB-FM. The Promotion begins on Monday December 7th, 2015 and ends December 11th, 2015.

b. To enter the Promotion, listeners may submit a picture of an ‘ugly sweater’ along with their phone number via private message through Facebook as detailed below beginning on Monday December 7, 2015 at 8:00 am Eastern Time (“ET”) and ending at 12:00 pm on Friday December 11, 2015 ET.

 

The Promotion will be carried out via Facebook submission, using the private messaging function. Contestants should send a picture of an ugly sweater and their phone number via private Facebook message to the station Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/WVUBFM). Only one entry per person.  By submitting a photo/picture/digital image, contestants give the station the right to re-post it, at their discretion, on the station website wvubhd.com, or any other station operated media properties including all social media platforms.

If there are an insufficient number of entries (less than 10) the number of prizes will equal the number of entries and all excess prizes (the difference between the entries and 10) will revert to the Station to award as it chooses.

 

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

a. The Promotion is open to all persons who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the geographic listening area of the station. Employees of  Vincennes University Broadcasting, the Station, the Station’s Underwriting Agent (collectively, “Promotional Entities”), their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, Station’s advertising and promotional agencies and participating sponsors, employees of other radio stations in the Evansville/Vincennes metropolitan areas, the members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling or child) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not), are ineligible to enter or win. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Entrants are responsible for complying with these Official Rules.

b. Listeners are eligible to win a prize from the Station only once every thirty (30) days, and listeners are eligible to win a prize in a Promotion conducted by the Station only once every sixty (60) days if the prize is valued over $600 and only once per year if prize is valued over $1,000. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any Station promotion. The Station may waive this stipulation if deemed appropriate.

c. The winners may be required to present valid government-issued photo identification and must provide their complete address, date of birth and phone number to claim a prize, unless otherwise stipulated.

d. Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility requirements and will also delete any entry as required by law.

 

3. PRIZES

a. Up to 10 prizes will be awarded during this contest. Each prize will consist of one (1) pass (valid for one carload of people) to obtain admittance to Lights Under Louisville in Louisville, KY anytime during the 2015 season. The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each ticket is $25.  The Ticket is valid Monday through Thursdays; excluding Christmas Eve or Christmas day. The Lights Under Louisville Season is scheduled to operate from Monday November 20th, 2015 through Sunday January 3rd, 2016.  The winner will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize. The prize is awarded as is. Tickets valid only on the date(s) printed on the tickets. Tickets are not refundable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced. Tickets may not be sold to a third party. If a prize-related event does not take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond the control of the Promotion Entities, their sole responsibility to the winner will be to award the remaining available elements of the prize and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the un-awarded elements of the prize.   No more than the stated number of prizes specified in these official rules will be awarded.

 

b. All prizes or prize certificates for this contest will be mailed to the winner, with the consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate. The winner may choose to come to the Station to pick up their prize and will be required to make arrangements to pick up their prize during normal operating hours or by appointment as available.

 

c. The Prize(s) is not transferable, and no substitution, assignment, or cash equivalent of prize is permitted, except by the Station (solely at its discretion), which reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize portion with another prize or prize portion of greater or equal value. The prize(s) are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and unless otherwise expressly specified, do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Entrants acknowledge that the Promotion Entities have not made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranties, representations or guarantees, and hereby disclaim any and all warranties expressed or implied, in fact or in law, whether now or hereafter enacted concerning any prize, including without limitation, implied warranties of quality, merchantability, mechanical condition, or fitness for a particular purpose, except for any express manufacturer’s warranty as may be included with the prize or as may be separately provided to participants by law. Other restrictions may apply.

 

 

 

4. POTENTIAL WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

a. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the Promotion are final.

b. Winners will be selected as described in Section 1 of these Official Rules.

c. Odds of winning a prize depend in part upon the number and order of entries received.

d.. Once selected, Prize winners will be notified by phone and/or instant message through Facebook. Prizes will be awarded only upon confirmation of eligibility and completion of all requisite releases. The winner must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release. If a potential winner cannot be contacted or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner forfeits the prize.

 

 

5. CONDITIONS

a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner. The winner may be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize and will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station (or any other CBS Radio station in Station’s market) in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize. Such winnings of $600 or more will be reported to the IRS.

b. Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize constitutes entrant’s and/or winner’s (and guest’s, if applicable) permission for the Station or its agents to interview the winner(s) (or guest(s), if applicable), to photograph, film, and record each winner (or guest, if applicable), and to use in commerce and in any media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, his/her name, prize won, hometown (city and state), biographic information, likeness, photograph, voice, audio or video recording, and/or any statements made by him/her regarding the Station, the Promotion, and/or its sponsor(s) for purposes of trade, publicity, or promotion without notice or additional compensation, notification, or permission, in perpetuity except where prohibited by law.

c. Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize constitutes entrant’s and/or winner’s (and guest’s, if applicable) agreement to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Promotion’s sponsor(s), the Station, its licensee, their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, their advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers, and participating sponsors, and their respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives and all of their successors and assigns (collectively, “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize and participation in the Promotion, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, which may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or participation in Promotion, or delivery, possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any Promotion-related activity, including but not limited to any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery.

 

 

 

d. If for any reason this Promotion cannot be executed as planned, including but not limited to, as a result of infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Released Parties that corrupt or affect the security, administration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, or if the Promotion is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, the Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend, and/or modify the Promotion. If the Promotion is terminated before the original end date, the Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion to, to modify the procedure for selecting winners, unless the nature of the event giving rise to such termination renders it impossible to select winner(s).

 

e. The Released Parties are not responsible for (i) typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering, or the administration of the Promotion or in the announcement of a prize; (ii) incorrect or inaccurate entry information, human error, failure, or omission; (iii) unauthorized human intervention; (iv) lost, stolen, mangled, misdirected, postage due, illegible, incomplete, or late entries; (v) entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties and other technological problems or for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, poor signals or signal interference, accidental disconnection, equipment malfunctions, and any other technological failures of any kind; or (vi) any cancellations, delays, diversions, or substitutions or omissions whatsoever by any transportation providers or any other persons or entities providing any services to winner(s) (and guest(s), if applicable) including any results thereof such as changes in services or location necessitated by same. Further, the Released Parties are not responsible if any part of a Promotion prize that cannot be awarded due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather, acts of terrorism, or other factors beyond the Released Parties’ control.

 

f. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods may void that entrant’s entries and that entrant may be disqualified. The use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. Any use of robotic, repetitive, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods or agents (including, but not limited to, promotion entry services or proxies) will void all entries by that entrant at the Station’s discretion. The Promotion administrator’s computer or telephone system is the official time keeping device for this Promotion. In the event of a dispute, online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the Authorized Account Holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized Account Holder” means the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

For phone or mobile entries, the authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the text or mobile telephone number by a telecommunications provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning such numbers. The Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Station’s website. Failure to comply with the rules of the Promotion may result in an entrant’s disqualification and/or forfeiture of any prize or prizes. If the Station makes a good faith determination that an entrant has cheated or committed fraudulent activity in connection with a Promotion, the Station reserves the right to disqualify that entrant from entering and/or winning this and future Station-administered Promotions and to prosecute and seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
