BLAZER BUZZER BEATER CHALLENGE—–JANUARY 2016

Official Contest Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. HOW TO ENTER

a. The “BLAZER  BUZZER BEATER CHALLENGE” contest (the “Contest”) will begin on  Wednesday December 16th, 2015 at 8:00AM Eastern Time (“ET”) and end on Monday December 28th, 2015 at 12:00 PM ET (the “Contest Period”). Due to the random nature of the contest, if all prizes are distributed prior to December 28th, 2015 Contest will be ended and the rules amended.

b. To participate in the contest, you may enter via the following method:

Tune into Blazer 91.1 WVUB HD (the “Station”) during the Contest Period and listen for the on air host to announce the “BLAZER BUZZER BEATER CHALLENGE”. The Contest will air at various times between 7am ET and 6pm ET. When listeners hear the on air host announce “BLAZER BUZZER BEATER CHALLENGE” they want to be the 9th caller into the Station contest line at 812-888-4347 to play the BLAZER BUZZER BEATER CHALLENGE, pending confirmation of eligibility.

The caller will be asked a trivia question about basketball and have :15 seconds to answer correctly. The on-air host will start the clock after the question is asked. The caller will be allowed to answer as many times as they want during the :15 seconds until time runs out or they have the correct answer, whichever comes first. The caller will then be awarded a prize. If the caller does not answer correctly they will then be invited to play the contest again.

At the time of their call, each caller will be required to give their first and last name. The “Buzzer Beater Challenge” will be played a minimum of (3) three times daily during the Contest Period.

c. The Station is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call.

d. For those listening to the Station stream on the Internet: Please be advised that you may be listening to a delayed stream of the radio signal, which may vary depending on your computer’s memory capacity and your connection. For that reason, we strongly recommend that you tune your radio to the Station to participate in this or any other call-in contest to be sure you are participating in “real time.” The Station assumes no responsibility for contestants not making timely phone calls to the station as a result of the delays in the Internet stream.

e. There is no limit to the number of times a listener may attempt to call in to win, but a listener may only win once.

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

a. The contest is open to all persons who reside within the Over the Air coverage area of WVUB-FM. Employees of the Station, its licensee, and affiliates, its advertising and underwriting agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Evansville metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and/or households are ineligible to participate or win. Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

b. Only one winner per household is permitted in any Station contest. A listener may not win a Station contest if a member of his/her family or household has won a Station contest within 30 days.

3. PRIZE

a. Ten pairs of tickets (20) PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED. Each winner will receive a pair of tickets for the Harlem Globetrotters performance at the Ford Center in Evansville on January 14th, 2015.  The Aggregate Retail Value of prizes to be awarded is $20 ($10 per ticket).

b. All prizes will be mailed unless the winner indicates that he or she would like to pick up their tickets.  In that case, winners may pick up their prize at our offices located at 1200 North 2nd Street, Davis Hall, Vincennes University, Vincennes, IN 47591. between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST after January 4, 2016. WVUB-FM will not be responsible for prizes that are lost in the mail or delivered late or to the wrong address.

c. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that station may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. If winner does not pick up prize before the scheduled event occurs, the prize will be forfeited.  Other restrictions may apply.

4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

a. Decisions of Station management with respect to the contest are final.

b. Ten (10) winners will be selected in accordance with Section 1b of these rules.

c. Odds of winning depend on number and order of calls received.

d. Winners must listen to win, but need not be present to win.

e. Winner needs to listen to Station to win. Winner must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form within ten (10) days of notification attempt or prize will be forfeited.

5. CONDITIONS

a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize.

b. By participating in the contest, the winner agrees to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising, online or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation.

c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station in its sole discretion may require contest winner (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, promotional partners, prize providers, its corporate licensee, its and their parent, subsidiary, related, and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the use or redemption of the prize or participation in the contest.

d. The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize. In addition, the Station is not responsible for any traffic or other travel delays, cancellations, postponements, overbooking or rescheduling due to any problem beyond its control.

e. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of the Station.

f. The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize.

g. Copies of the written contest rules are available during regular business hours at the main studio of WVUB-FM located at 1200 North 2ndStreet Davis Hall, Vincennes, IN 47591.

 

Shopping Cart Showdown Contest Rules—-JANUARY 2016

 

  • A copy of these Contest Rules can be obtained at the offices of radio station Blazer 91.1 WVUB-FM (the “Station”) owned and operated by Vincennes University, DH 64, 1200 North 2nd Street, Vincennes, IN 47591, during normal business hours Monday through Friday or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the above address.
  • The Station will conduct all Contests, including on-air contests, email and online contests held on www.wvubhd.com,  and contests conducted through the Station’s social networking accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter), substantially as described in these rules, and by participating each participant agrees as follows:
  • No purchase is necessary.  Void where prohibited.  All federal, state, and local regulations apply.

 

  • Unless otherwise specified, only legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older with a valid Social Security number at the time of entry are eligible to participate in this Station contest.

 

  • Unless otherwise specified, employees, agents and affiliates of Vincennes University Broadcasting and its underwriting representatives, contest sponsors, other radio, television and print advertising companies serving the Station’s metro area, and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible to participate or win Station contests.  The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, siblings, grandparents, children, grandchildren and cohabiting significant others.

 

  • To qualify for the Grand Prize, the participant must register online. A valid registration will include the contestant’s legal name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address and birth date. Entry may be rejected if it has insufficient information. Qualifiers must be at least 18 years of age. WVUB management reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for cause (i.e. contest tampering by a competing station, fraud, etc.)

 

  • Once registered, the participant will be notified if they are selected to be a contestant to be eligible to win the Grand Prize. Winners will be selected from all of the entrants, minus duplicate entries, and the contestants’ name will be posted on the website, wvubhd.com at 3:00 p.m.(eastern) on Friday January 8th, 2016 or as close to that time as normal programming will allow. The contestants will be sent a letter from the station to the email that has been provided on the online entry form.  The contestant will also be notified by phone.
  • The online entry forms will be open for submission from Sunday December 27, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. (eastern time) through Wednesday January 6th, 2016 at 12 noon.(eastern time).

 

  • Potential contest winners will be selected by and at the Station in its sole discretion.  If it is determined by the Station that a candidate is not eligible to receive a prize, another candidate may be selected for eligibility consultation and this process will continue on until such time as an eligible candidate is found.  In the unlikely event that no candidates are found to meet the specifications, then the prize will go un-awarded.
  • Unless otherwise stated, the odds of winning this Station contest depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to the number of eligible entries received and the number of listeners participating at any given time.
  • The selected contestants will be emailed a copy of the letter that will need to be presented to a station representative along with a photo ID the day of the contest. The letter may be printed or pulled up on their mobile device.  The station has also made copies available to the contestants for pick-up at the station if either printing or showing on a mobile device is not convenient.  All contestants were also notified via phone call and/or voice message.
  • Upon arriving the event, Grand Prize Pack contestants will need to register with the above documents and will receive a randomly numbered ticket
  • A random drawing will be done to determine the winner of the Grand Prize Pack
  • CONTEST OVERVIEW

The Shopping Cart Showdown is a way to promote goodwill and giving between area businesses and Blazer 91.1 WVUB-FM.  The Season of Sharing on WVUB will continue by having three businesses choose a charity to help fill the empty shelves after the holidays.  The three businesses will be Good Samaritan Hospital, Farbest Foods and Uebelhor and Sons.  The charities will be chosen by the businesses.   Listeners will be encouraged to take a daily online poll to add more shopping time to their favorite business/charity.  Listeners will also have a chance to participate by registering to win a $100 gift card from the Vincennes Sav-A-Lot store.  Please refer back to the beginning of this document for the contest rules.  All businesses will start with a minimum of one minute of shopping time.  Each day through January 15th, 2016, listeners will have three chances to call in and interact with the on-air staff to help add time to their favorite business/charity.  Each business will have a maximum amount of time no longer than :91 (1:31) to fill their carts with non-perishable groceries that will be paid for Blazer 91.1 WVUB.  Listeners may also text in their vote by sending the name of the charity to the studio line, 812-888-4347, once per day.  Listeners will also be able to vote for their charity on the station Facebook page by taking the voting poll.  Listeners will be asked to vote only once per day regarding both of the mentioned mechanisms until 12:00 p.m. ET on January 15, 2016.  Once a charity has maxed out at :91 (1:31) of shopping time, their name will be removed from the voting mechanisms.

 

  • The Grand Prize for this contest will consist of:

 

1)      One (1) $100 gift card to Sav-A-Lot of Vincennes

 

  • All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner.  All those who win a prize or prizes valued $600 or more will be issued an IRS Form 1099 to report their winnings.
  • All prizes are awarded “as is.”   Prizes are nontransferable and cannot be exchanged, sold, or redeemed for cash or other prizes. No substitute prize will be awarded to a winner who declines to accept a prize. An individual may win a Station contest only once per month unless otherwise specifically stated.   An individual may win other seasonal or one-time contests. like this one, only once for the duration of the contest.  The Station reserves the right to limit the number of times an individual may enter a contest or drawing.

 

  • All entrants and winners agree that the Station shall have no liability for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property incurred by entering, participating in, winning, or losing any contest and/or by the use or non-use of any prize received in connection with this contest.

 

 

  • Unless otherwise stated, all prizes must be claimed in person at the Station at the address identified above during regular business hours and within ten (10) business days of winning, excluding holidays.  After such time, ownership of said prize reverts back to the Station to be disposed of at its discretion.  The winner then loses all claims and rights to said prize.  Proper identification must be presented by any winner to claim prize.  As a condition to receiving the prize, any potential winner must be willing to complete and sign a Winner’s Affidavit and Release, releasing the Station from all liability in connection with winner’s participation in the contest and acceptance, use, or non-use of the prize.

 

  • All entry blanks, forms, devices, and materials gathered during the course of entry, as well as all information contained on or within, shall become the sole property of the Station to be used, disposed of or destroyed in its sole discretion.  The Station is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information submitted by contest participants or entered by websites users, and assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to the Station’s website.

 

 

  • All entrants and winners agree to give the Station and its licensees, affiliates, successors, and assigns the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use, re-use, broadcast, or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including portraits and pictures, in whole or in part, as part of a composite, retouched or distorted in character or form, and voice, recorded or live, for any reason the Station deems necessary without compensation, unless prohibited by law.  All entrants and winners release, discharge, and agree to hold the Station harmless from any and all claims they may have against the Station in connection with the foregoing.  All entrants and winners further acknowledge that the Station owns or will own exclusively any photographs of them used for such purposes, including the copyrights in them, regardless of the form in which they have been or may be produced and used, and all entrants and winners assign all such ownership rights to the Station.

 

  • By participating in a Station contest, each participant agrees to receive email communications from the Station regarding Station events and contests. Any participant that opts-out of these mailings will also remove themselves from the contest.  By participating in the contest, where allowed by law, participants agree that the Station may disclose personal information obtained from participants in the contest to third parties and use such information for marketing and other purposes.
  • By participating in a Station contest, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of Station personnel. Participants who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified. Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited. The Station will interpret these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities concerning the rules or the contest and all Station decisions concerning such disputes shall be final. If the conduct or outcome of a contest is affected by human error, any mechanical malfunctions or failures of any kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control of the Station, the Station reserves the right to terminate the contest, or make such other decisions regarding the administration or outcome as the Station deems appropriate. All decisions made by the Station are final. The Station may waive any of these rules in its sole discretion. ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY CIRCUMVENT, DISRUPT OR DAMAGE ORDINARY AND NORMAL OPERATION OF A STATION CONTEST, TELEPHONE SYSTEMS OR WEBSITES, OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF A STATION CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, STATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
  • By participating in this contest, each participant agrees to waive any and all claims for damages for death, personal injury, loss of property or property damage that he or she may sustain as a result of his or her participation in the contest and/or the use of any prize, and any damages or losses arising from the implementation or carrying out of the contest or any participant’s failure to win the contest or receive the prize, and to release Vincennes University, the Station, and affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with his or her participation in the contest, even though that liability may arise out of an intentional act, omission, negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above.

 

  • A winners list may be obtained five (5) days after the conclusion of any Station contest by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Station at the address first written above.

 

So You Think You Can Soup
January 25-February 3, 2016

OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.

1. HOW TO ENTER

a. These rules govern the Ticket Giveaway (the “Promotion”), which is being conducted by WVUB-FM The Promotion begins on Monday January 25, 2016 and ends when prizes are exasperated.

b. To enter the Promotion, you may submit a picture of a soup recipe along with a complete typed out recipe and your phone number beginning on Monday January 25, 2016 at 8:00 am Eastern Time (“ET”) and ending at 4:00 pm on Thursday January 28, 2016 ET or until the maximum number of 50 entries has been received.

c. All submissions will be uploaded to a gallery on the station Facebook page.  The winner will be determined as the picture/recipe with the most ‘likes’ on the original post from the station page.  Listeners are encouraged to share from the station gallery, but votes will only counted from the original picture post and not tallied from the amount of shares or likes that the picture may receive.

d. The online Facebook gallery will be posted on Friday January 29th or as soon as the maximum number of entries has been received.

e. Voting will close on Wednesday February 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. ET and the winner be announced in the 12:00 p.m. ET hour by on-air staff.  The winner will also be called and/or emailed.

 

The contest will be carried out via Facebook and email submission. Contestants should send a picture and complete typed out recipe along with their phone number via private Facebook message to the station Facebook page or directly to the station email, wvub@vinu,edu.  During the contest time period; listeners may go to the station website to view the gallery of other entries. By submitting your photo, you give the station the right to re-post on the station website wvubhd.com and all other social media platforms owned by the station. The winner’s name will also be announced on-air and publicized through the station’s digital media platforms, including social media sites and website.

 

 

Vincennes University Broadcasting WVUB FM known as The Blazer 91.1 WVUB will in no way be liable or responsible for the failure of any phone, other calling instrument, computer, or other device, no matter the reason for the person’s inability to complete the registration process.

 

c. There will be to a total of one Grand Prize winner.

d. Due to delays in the online streaming of the Station’s broadcast signal, listeners to the online stream may not be able to participate in or may be disadvantaged in participating in on-air contests. Entrants are encouraged to listen to the Station on-air. The Station is not responsible for online streaming delays.

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

a. The Promotion is open to all persons who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the geographic listening area of the station. Employees of  Vincennes University Broadcasting, the Station, the Station’s Underwriting Agent (collectively, “Promotion Entities”), their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, Station’s advertising and promotional agencies and participating sponsors, other radio stations in the Evansville/Vincennes metropolitan areas, the members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling or child) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not), are ineligible to enter or win. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Entrants are responsible for complying with these Official Rules.

b. Listeners are eligible to win a prize from the Station only once every thirty (30) days, and listeners are eligible to win a prize in a Promotion conducted by the Station only once every sixty (60) days if the prize is valued over $600 and only once per year if prize is valued over $1,000. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any Station promotion.

c. The winners may be required to present valid government-issued photo identification and must provide their complete address, date of birth and phone number to claim a prize.

d. Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility requirements and will also delete any entry as required by law.

3. PRIZES

a. One Grand Prize will be awarded during this contest. The prize will consist of several WVUB Blazer 91.1 WVUB station logo items and other items from our contributors. The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the Grand Prize is yet to be determined. The winner will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize. The prize is awarded as is. The prize may not be sold to a third party. If a prize-related event does not take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond the control of the Promotion Entities, their sole responsibility to the winner will be to award the remaining available elements of the prize and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the un-awarded elements of the prize.   The prize must be picked up at the WVUB business office.  Should the prize include time sensitive material, the winner must make arrangements to pick up their prize one business day prior to the expiration date.

b. No more than the stated number of prizes specified in these official rules will be awarded. All prizes or prize certificates for this contest need to be picked up by the winner.

c. The Prize(s) is not transferable, and no substitution, assignment, or cash equivalent of prize is permitted, except by the Station (solely at its discretion), which reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize portion with another prize or prize portion of greater or equal value. The prize(s) are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and unless otherwise expressly specified, do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Entrants acknowledge that the Promotion Entities have not made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranties, representations or guarantees, and hereby disclaim any and all warranties expressed or implied, in fact or in law, whether now or hereafter enacted concerning any prize, including without limitation, implied warranties of quality, merchantability, mechanical condition, or fitness for a particular purpose, except for any express manufacturer’s warranty as may be included with the prize or as may be separately provided to participants by law. Other restrictions may apply.

4. POTENTIAL WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

a. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the Promotion are final.

b. One (1) winner will be selected as described in Section 1 of these Official Rules.

c. Odds of winning a prize depend in part upon the number and order of calls/texts received.

d. Entrants must listen to the Station to win a prize, but need not be present.

g. Potential prize winners will be notified at the time of their call. Prizes will be awarded only upon confirmation of eligibility and completion of all requisite releases. The winner must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release. If a potential winner cannot be contacted or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner forfeits the prize.

 

 

5. CONDITIONS

a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner. The winner may be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize and will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station (or any other CBS Radio station in Station’s market) in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize. Such winnings of $600 or more will be reported to the IRS.

b. Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize constitutes entrant’s and/or winner’s (and guest’s, if applicable) permission for the Station or its agents to interview the winner(s) (or guest(s), if applicable), to photograph, film, and record each winner (or guest, if applicable), and to use in commerce and in any media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, his/her name, prize won, hometown (city and state), biographic information, likeness, photograph, voice, audio or video recording, and/or any statements made by him/her regarding the Station, the Promotion, and/or its sponsor(s) for purposes of trade, publicity, or promotion without notice or additional compensation, notification, or permission, in perpetuity except where prohibited by law.

c. Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize constitutes entrant’s and/or winner’s (and guest’s, if applicable) agreement to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Promotion’s sponsor(s), the Station, its licensee, their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, their advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers, and participating sponsors, and their respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives and all of their successors and assigns (collectively, “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize and participation in the Promotion, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, which may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or participation in Promotion, or delivery, possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any Promotion-related activity, including but not limited to any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery.

d. If for any reason this Promotion cannot be executed as planned, including but not limited to, as a result of infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Released Parties that corrupt or affect the security, administration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, or if the Promotion is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, the Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend, and/or modify the Promotion. If the Promotion is terminated before the original end date, the Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion to, to modify the procedure for selecting winners, unless the nature of the event giving rise to such termination renders it impossible to select winner(s).

OFFICIAL RULES

1. HOW TO ENTER

a. These rules govern the Souper-Poll (the “Promotion”), which is being conducted by WVUB-FM The Promotion begins on Thursday January 28, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. and ends at 9:30 am on Thursday February 4, 2016 ET or until the maximum number of prizes are exasperated.

b. To enter the Promotion, you may click like on any of the pictures in the ‘Take our Souper-Poll’ gallery on the station Facebook page.

c. The winner will be selected by a random drawing.  The picture with the most likes may not necessarily produce the random winner.

d. The online Facebook gallery will be posted on Thursday January 28th 2016.

e. Voting will close on Thursday February 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. ET and the winner be announced in the 12:00 p.m. ET hour by on-air staff.  The winner will also be notified by using Facebook messenger, called and/or emailed.

 

The contest will be carried out via Facebook. Contestants. During the contest time period; listeners may go to the station website to view the gallery of other entries. By clicking like on any of the pictures, you give the station the right to announce your name as the winner of the Souper-Poll contest on the station website wvubhd.com and all other social media platforms owned by the station. The winner’s name will also be announced on-air and publicized through the station’s digital media platforms, including social media sites and website.

c. There will be to a total of one Grand Prize winner.

d. Due to delays in the online streaming of the Station’s broadcast signal, listeners to the online stream may not be able to participate in or may be disadvantaged in participating in on-air contests. Entrants are encouraged to listen to the Station on-air. The Station is not responsible for online streaming delays.

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

a. The Promotion is open to all persons who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the geographic listening area of the station. Employees of  Vincennes University Broadcasting, the Station, the Station’s Underwriting Agent (collectively, “Promotion Entities”), their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, Station’s advertising and promotional agencies and participating sponsors, other radio stations in the Evansville/Vincennes metropolitan areas, the members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling or child) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not), are ineligible to enter or win. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Entrants are responsible for complying with these Official Rules.

b. Listeners are eligible to win a prize from the Station only once every thirty (30) days, and listeners are eligible to win a prize in a Promotion conducted by the Station only once every sixty (60) days if the prize is valued over $600 and only once per year if prize is valued over $1,000. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any Station promotion.

c. The winners may be required to present valid government-issued photo identification and must provide their complete address, date of birth and phone number to claim a prize.

d. Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility requirements and will also delete any entry as required by law.

3. PRIZES

a. One Grand Prize will be awarded during this contest. The prize will consist of several WVUB Blazer 91.1 WVUB station logo items and other items from our contributors. The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the Grand Prize is $60. The winner will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize. The prize is awarded as is. The prize may not be sold to a third party. If a prize-related event does not take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond the control of the Promotion Entities, their sole responsibility to the winner will be to award the remaining available elements of the prize and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the un-awarded elements of the prize.   The prize must be picked up at the WVUB business office.  Should the prize include time sensitive material, the winner must make arrangements to pick up their prize one business day prior to the expiration date.

b. No more than the stated number of prizes specified in these official rules will be awarded. All prizes or prize certificates for this contest need to be picked up by the winner.

c. The Prize(s) is not transferable, and no substitution, assignment, or cash equivalent of prize is permitted, except by the Station (solely at its discretion), which reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize portion with another prize or prize portion of greater or equal value. The prize(s) are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and unless otherwise expressly specified, do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Entrants acknowledge that the Promotion Entities have not made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranties, representations or guarantees, and hereby disclaim any and all warranties expressed or implied, in fact or in law, whether now or hereafter enacted concerning any prize, including without limitation, implied warranties of quality, merchantability, mechanical condition, or fitness for a particular purpose, except for any express manufacturer’s warranty as may be included with the prize or as may be separately provided to participants by law. 4. POTENTIAL WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

a. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the Promotion are final.

b. One (1) winner will be selected as described in Section 1 of these Official Rules.

c. Odds of winning a prize depend in part upon the number and order of calls/texts received.

d. Entrants must listen to the Station to win a prize, but need not be present.

g. Potential prize winners will be notified at the time of their call. Prizes will be awarded only upon confirmation of eligibility and completion of all requisite releases. The winner must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release. If a potential winner cannot be contacted or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner forfeits the prize.

 

 

5. CONDITIONS

a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner. The winner may be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize and will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station (or any other CBS Radio station in Station’s market) in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize. Such winnings of $600 or more will be reported to the IRS.

b. Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize constitutes entrant’s and/or winner’s (and guest’s, if applicable) permission for the Station or its agents to interview the winner(s) (or guest(s), if applicable), to photograph, film, and record each winner (or guest, if applicable), and to use in commerce and in any media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, his/her name, prize won, hometown (city and state), biographic information, likeness, photograph, voice, audio or video recording, and/or any statements made by him/her regarding the Station, the Promotion, and/or its sponsor(s) for purposes of trade, publicity, or promotion without notice or additional compensation, notification, or permission, in perpetuity except where prohibited by law.

Official Contest Rules

1. HOW TO ENTER

a. The “I HEARD IT IN A LOVE SONG” contest (the “Contest”) will begin on Wednesday, February 4th, 2016 at 11:00AM Eastern Time (“ET”) and end on Thursday, February 11th, 2016 at 11:59 PM ET (the “Contest Period”). Due to the random nature of the contest, if all prizes are distributed prior to February 12th, 2016 Contest will be ended and the rules amended.

b. To participate in the contest, you may enter via the following method:

Tune into Blazer 91.1 WVUB HD (the “Station”) during the Contest Period for the on air host to announce for the “I HEARD IT IN A LOVE SONG” to air sometime between 7am ET and 6pm ET. When you hear the on air host announce “Haunted Studio”  be the 9th  caller into the Station contest line at 812-888-4347 to play the I HEARD IT IN A LOVE SONG, pending confirmation of eligibility.

The caller will be asked to identify the lyrics to a love song read by the on-air staff or pre-recorded by another staff person. If the lyrics are correctly identified by the caller, the caller will then be awarded a prize. If the caller does not correctly identify the lyrics, the caller will then be invited to play the contest again.

At the time of their call, each caller will be required to give their first and last name. The “I HEARD IT IN A LOVE SONG” will be played a minimum of (3) three times daily during the Contest Period.

c. The Station is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call.

d. For those listening to the Station stream on the Internet: Please be advised that you may be listening to a delayed stream of the radio signal, which may vary depending on your computer’s memory capacity and your connection. For that reason, we strongly recommend that you tune your radio to the Station to participate in this or any other call-in contest to be sure you are participating in “real time.” The Station assumes no responsibility for contestants not making timely phone calls to the station as a result of the delays in the Internet stream.

e. There is no limit to the number of times a listener may attempt to call in to win, but a listener may only win once.

3. PRIZE

a. Thirteen (13) PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED. Each winner will receive a qualifying prize from one of our sponsors.  The prize may be a $15 gift certificate from Jewelcraft Jewelers, a $10 gift certiciate from Lydia’s or a $25 gift certificate from Hair Affair Salon and Spa.  The prizes will be awarded in particular order to qualifying contestants.  One contestant will receive the Grand Prize Pack (ARV of $285) including a $160 gift certicaicete from Hair Affair Salon and Spa, a $100 value Fossil watch from Piper Diamond Company and a five flavor popcorn tub from Pop Around the Clock valued at $25.

b. All contestants/winners will be asked to pick up their prize at our offices located at 1200 North 2nd Street, Davis Hall, Vincennes University, Vincennes, IN 47591. between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST. In the case of physical tickets, rather than will call tickets, WVUB will mail the tickets to the winner at the mailing address they provide. However, the winner must send an email with a verifiable address and request the prize be sent in writing. WVUB-FM will not be responsible for prizes that are lost in the mail or delivered late or to the wrong address.

c. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that station may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.

d.  Unless otherwise stated, all prizes must be claimed in person at the Station at the address identified above during regular business hours and within ten (10) business days of winning, excluding holidays and/or close of business the day preceding the event.  After such time, ownership of said prize reverts back to the Station to be disposed of at its discretion.  The winner then loses all claims and rights to said prize.  Proper identification must be presented by any winner to claim prize.  As a condition to receiving the prize, any potential winner must be willing to complete and sign a Winner’s Affidavit and Release, releasing the Station from all liability in connection with winner’s participation in the contest and acceptance, use, or non-use of the prize.

d. The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be

The “ROYAL MONSTER MADNESS” contest (the “Contest”) will begin on Wednesday March 23rd, 2016 at 6:00AM Eastern Time (“ET”) and end on Friday, April 8th, 2016 at 11:59 PM ET (the “Contest Period”). Due to the random nature of the contest, if all prizes are distributed prior to, April 8th, 2016 at 11:59 PM ET Contest will be ended and the rules amended.
  3. To participate in the contest, you may enter via the following method:

Tune into Blazer 91.1 WVUB (the “Station”) during the Contest Period and listen for the “ROYAL MONSTER MADNESS” to air a minimum of 3 times between 7am ET and 6pm ET. When you hear the on-air host announce the “ROYAL MONSTER MADNESS” contest or play the associated sounder, be the 9th caller into the Station contest line at 812-888-4347 to play the “ROYAL MONSTER MADNESS”, pending confirmation of eligibility.

The 9th caller, if eligible, will be asked to join the host on-air and select which one of three Disney princesses is “driving the Monster truck”. The on-air host will then use a random mechanism to identify the princess/character. If the revealed character is the same as the one named by the caller, the caller will then be awarded a prize. If the caller does not match the character that is revealed, the caller will then be invited to play the contest again.

At the time of their call, each caller will be required to give their first and last name. The “ROYAL MONSTER MADNESS” will be played a minimum of (3) three times daily each weekday during the Contest Period, excluding holidays.

All ticket Winners of either Monster Jam or Disney Live will be given the option pick up tickets at WVUB-FM, at our offices located at 1200 North 2nd Street, Davis Hall, Vincennes University, Vincennes, IN 47591 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST. or have their tickets mailed to the address that they provide to the on-air staff at the time of winning. WVUB-FM will not be responsible for prizes that are lost in the mail or delivered late or to the wrong address. No more than the stated number of prizes specified in these official rules will be awarded. All prizes or prize certificates for this contest will be mailed to the winner, with the prior consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.

The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.

  11. The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize. In addition, the Station is not responsible for any traffic or other travel delays, cancellations, postponements, overbooking or rescheduling due to any problem beyond its control.

  2. These rules govern the “Journey to Carb Day Ticket Tour” Ticket Giveaway (the “Promotion”), which is being conducted by WVUB-FM. The Promotion begins on Wednesday April 20, 2016 and ends on Thursday May 19, 2016.
  3. To enter the Promotion, you may register on-site at the Chuckles convenience store for the given week. The on-air staff with be at following Chuckles store locations: Vincennes, IN 4/20/16, Princeton, IN 4/27/16, Washington, IN 5/4/16, Loogootee, IN 5/11/16, and Bicknell 5/18/16. Listeners may fill out the entry form and be registered to win.  One winner will be drawn and announced the next morning just after 8:00 a.m. EST on the Blazer Morning Show.  The winner will be called by the on-air staff.  The winner will be recorded to play back on the air.

 

The contest will be carried out via on-site registration. During the contest time period; listeners may go to the station website to preview where the street crew will be the following week. The winner’s name will also be announced on-air and publicized through the station’s digital media platforms, including social media sites and website.

 

 

Vincennes University Broadcasting WVUB FM known as The Blazer 91.1 WVUB will in no way be liable or responsible for the failure of any phone, other calling instrument, computer, vehicle/transportation to on-site registration, or other device, no matter the reason for the person’s inability to complete the registration process.

Due to delays in the online streaming of the Station’s broadcast signal, listeners to the online stream may not be able to participate in or may be disadvantaged in participating in on-air contests.   4. The Promotion is open to all persons who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the geographic listening area of the station. Employees of Vincennes University Broadcasting, the Station, the Station’s Underwriting Agent (collectively, “Promotion Entities”), their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, Station’s advertising and promotional agencies and participating sponsors, other radio stations in the Evansville/Vincennes metropolitan areas, the members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling or child) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not), are ineligible to enter or win. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Entrants are responsible for complying with these Official Rules.

Listeners are eligible to win a prize from the Station only once every thirty (30) days, and listeners are eligible to win a prize in a Promotion conducted by the Station only once every sixty (60) days if the prize is valued over $600 and only once per year if prize is valued over $1,000. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any Station promotion.
  6. The winners may be required to present valid government-issued photo identification and must provide their complete address, date of birth and phone number to claim a prize.

The prizes will consist of one (2) passes (valid for winner and a guest) to obtain admittance to the 2016 Indianapolis 500 Carb Day featuring a concert by Journey on Friday May 27, 2016. The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each ticket is $30 ($60 per pair). The winner will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize. The prize is awarded as is. Tickets valid only on the date(s) printed on the tickets. Tickets are not refundable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced. Tickets may not be sold to a third party.   11. No more than the stated number of prizes specified in these official rules will be awarded. All prizes or prize certificates for this contest will be mailed to the winner, with the prior consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.

The Prize(s) is not transferable, and no substitution, assignment, or cash equivalent of prize is permitted, except by the Station (solely at its discretion), which reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize portion with another prize or prize portion of greater or equal value.   2. These rules govern the Ticket Giveaway (the “Promotion”), which is being conducted by WVUB-FM (the “Station”). The Promotion begins on Monday May 20, 2016 and ends on Friday May 24, 2016 (the “Promotion Dates”).
  3. To enter the Promotion, you may enter by texting the word “TENORS” to our studio line at (812) 888-4347 beginning on Monday May 20 at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ending at 4:30 p.m. ET Friday, May 24, 2016 ET (the “Entry Period”).

 

The contest will be carried out via text. During the texting time period, listeners may text the studio line with “TENORS”.  Listeners may enter once per day, per phone line.  By texting the word “TENORS’ between 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., he or she will be registered into the daily drawing. The daily drawing will be carried out at 4:00 p.m. ET each day during the contest period.  Once selected, the station prize coordinator or designated staffer will contact the person via text or phone for their full contact information and then arrange prize pick-up. The winner’s name will also be announced on-air and publicized through the station’s digital media platforms, including social media sites and website.  All texts received after 4:00 p.m. will carry over to the next day’s drawing.

The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each prize pack is $80. The winner will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize. The prize is awarded as is. The prize pack is not refundable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced. Tickets may not be sold to a third party. To enter the Promotion, you may call the station studio line at (812) 888-4347 when alerted by the sounder Monday through Friday, beginning on Wednesday June 1, 2016 at 8:00 am Eastern Time (“ET”) and ending at or before 2:00 pm Thursday June 30, 2016 ET.  Caller number nine, as determined by the air-staff will play ‘The Blazer Secret Sound Contest”
  4. In the event that no one correctly identifies the Secret Sound, the prize will carry over to the next contest/week day until the end of the contest. Once a listener has correctly guessed the Secret Sound for contest/week day, no more contests will air until the following contest/week day. The winner will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize. The prize is awarded as is.   All winning tickets will be mailed to winners on Monday of the following the week of which tickets were awarded.  Tickets valid only on the date(s) printed on the tickets. Tickets are not refundable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced. Tickets may not be sold to a third party. June 2016-First Day of Summer

  • To enter contestant must be a legal U.S. Resident at least 18 years of age.
  • Vincennes University Broadcasting employees, their underwriting representatives, employees of other media companies in the station’s service area and immediate families of the same are not eligible to win.
  • To qualify for the Grand Prize, the participant must register online at the station website located at www.wvubhd.com. A valid registration will include the contestant’s legal name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address and birth date. Entry may be rejected if it has insufficient information. WVUB management reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for cause (i.e. contest tampering by a competing station, fraud, etc.)

 

  • Once registered a participant will be eligible to win one of four (4) Prizes. Winners will be selected from all of the entrants, minus winners or duplicate entries. The winner’s names will be announced on the air at 9am (eastern) or as close to that time as normal programming will allow on Monday, June 21st, 2016. The winners will also be notified by phone or email.

 

  • The contest run from 3 pm (eastern) Friday, June 17, 2016 through 8 am (eastern) Monday, June 21st, 2016.
  • 4 prizes will be awarded for this contest, to four individual winners. One (1) winner will win a Fitness Pass to Rainbow Beach in Vincennes. One( 1) winner will be awarded a Youth Pass to Rainbow Beach in Vincennes. One (1) winner will be awarded an Adult Pass to Rainbow Beach in Vincennes. One (1) winner will win a Family Pass to Rainbow Beach in Vincennes. All of the passes awarded will be for the 2016 Season and are subject to all rules and restrictions of Rainbow Beach and its management.
  • The total value of the prizes awarded is the aggregate face value of each for a total value of $280.
  • Neither Vincennes University Broadcasting/ WVUB-FM, nor our underwriting agent shall be held responsible for the failure of Rainbow Beach at Gregg Park in Vincennes to open or operate on any date during their posted public swim season. The prizes have been accepted and are being distributed in good faith. There shall be no alternate prize given and the prize may not be redeemed for any cash value.
  • All entrants and winners agree that the Station shall have no liability for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property incurred by entering, participating in, winning, or losing any contest and/or by the use or non-use of any prize received in connection with this contest.

Vincennes University Broadcasting WVUB FM known as The Blazer 91.1 WVUB will in no way be liable or responsible for the failure of any phone, other calling instrument, computer, or other device, no matter the reason for the person’s inability to complete the registration process.

 

  1. There will be to a total of 2 winners.
  2. Due to delays in the online streaming of the Station’s broadcast signal, listeners to the online stream may not be able to participate in or may be disadvantaged in participating in on-air contests. Entrants are encouraged to listen to the Station on-air. The Station is not responsible for online streaming delays.
  3. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
  4. The Promotion is open to all persons who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the geographic listening area of the station. Employees of Vincennes University Broadcasting, the Station, the Station’s Underwriting Agent (collectively, “Promotion Entities”), their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, Station’s advertising and promotional agencies and participating sponsors, other radio stations in the Evansville/Vincennes metropolitan areas, the members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling or child) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not), are ineligible to enter or win. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Entrants are responsible for complying with these Official Rules.
  5. Listeners are eligible to win a prize from the Station only once every thirty (30) days, and listeners are eligible to win a prize in a Promotion conducted by the Station only once every sixty (60) days if the prize is valued over $600 and only once per year if prize is valued over $1,000. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any Station promotion.
  6. The winners may be required to present valid government-issued photo identification and must provide their complete address, date of birth and phone number to claim a prize.
  7. Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility requirements and will also delete any entry as required by law.
  8. PRIZES
  9. 5 prizes will be awarded during this contest. The prizes will consist of two (2) or three (3) tickets (valid for winner and guest (s) to obtain admittance to the Brian Hoffman performance at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center on Saturday July 16, 2016. The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each ticket is $10. The winner will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize. The prize is awarded as is. Tickets valid only on the date(s) printed on the tickets. Tickets are not refundable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced. Tickets may not be sold to a third party. If a prize-related event does not take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond the control of the Promotion Entities, their sole responsibility to the winner will be to award the remaining available elements of the prize and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the un-awarded elements of the prize.
  10. No more than the stated number of prizes specified in these official rules will be awarded. All prizes or prize certificates for this contest will be mailed to the winner, with the prior consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
  11. The Prize(s) is not transferable, and no substitution, assignment, or cash equivalent of prize is permitted, except by the Station (solely at its discretion), which reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize portion with another prize or prize portion of greater or equal value. The prize(s) are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and unless otherwise expressly specified, do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses.   12. POTENTIAL WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
  13. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the Promotion are final.
  14. Two (2) winners will be selected as described in Section 1 of these Official Rules.
  15. Odds of winning a prize depend in part upon the number and order of calls/texts received.
  16. Entrants must listen to the Station to win a prize, but need not be present.
  17. Potential prize winners will be notified at the time of their call. Prizes will be awarded only upon confirmation of eligibility and completion of all requisite releases. The winner must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release. If a potential winner cannot be contacted or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner forfeits the prize. The potential winner will have until the close of business on Friday July 15, 2016 to obtain their prize from the WVUB Main Business Office in Davis Hall on the Vincennes University campus. Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize constitutes entrant’s and/or winner’s (and guest’s, if applicable) permission for the Station or its agents to interview the winner(s) (or guest(s), if applicable), to photograph, film, and record each winner (or guest, if applicable), and to use in commerce and in any media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, his/her name, prize won, hometown (city and state), biographic information, likeness, photograph, voice, audio or video recording, and/or any statements made by him/her regarding the Station, the Promotion, and/or its sponsor(s) for purposes of trade, publicity, or promotion without notice or additional compensation, notification, or permission, in perpetuity except where prohibited by law.
  4. Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize constitutes entrant’s and/or winner’s (and guest’s, if applicable) agreement to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Promotion’s sponsor(s), the Station, its licensee, their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, their advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers, and participating sponsors, and their respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives and all of their successors and assigns (collectively, “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize and participation in the Promotion, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, which may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or participation in Promotion, or delivery, possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any Promotion-related activity, including but not limited to any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery.

If for any reason this Promotion cannot be executed as planned, including but not limited to, as a result of infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Released Parties that corrupt or affect the security, administration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, or if the Promotion is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, the Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend, and/or modify the Promotion. If the Promotion is terminated before the original end date, the Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion to, to modify the procedure for selecting winners, unless the nature of the event giving rise to such termination renders it impossible to select winner(s).

The Released Parties are not responsible for (i) typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering, or the administration of the Promotion or in the announcement of a prize; (ii) incorrect or inaccurate entry information, human error, failure, or omission; (iii) unauthorized human intervention; (iv) lost, stolen, mangled, misdirected, postage due, illegible, incomplete, or late entries; (v) entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties and other technological problems or for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, poor signals or signal interference, accidental disconnection, equipment malfunctions, and any other technological failures of any kind; or (vi) any cancellations, delays, diversions, or substitutions or omissions whatsoever by any transportation providers or any other persons or entities providing any services to winner(s) (and guest(s), if applicable) including any results thereof such as changes in services or location necessitated by same.   1. HOW TO ENTER
    To enter contestant must be a legal U.S. Resident at least 18 years of age.
  2. Vincennes University Broadcasting employees, their underwriting representatives, employees of other media companies in the station’s service area and immediate families of the same are not eligible to win.
  3. To qualify for the Grand Prize, the participant must register online at the station website located at www.wvubhd.com. A valid registration will include the contestant’s legal name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address and birth date. Entry may be rejected if it has insufficient information. WVUB management reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for cause (i.e. contest tampering by a competing station, fraud, etc.)
  4. Once registered a participant will be eligible to win one of twelve (12) prizes. Winners will be selected from all of the entrants, minus winners or duplicate entries in a random drawing. The winner’s names will be announced on the air at 9am (eastern) or as close to that time as normal programming will allow on Thursday, July 14th , 2016. The winners will also be notified by phone or email.

  • A copy of these Contest Rules can be obtained at the offices of radio station Blazer 91.1 WVUB-FM (the “Station”) owned and operated by Vincennes University, DH 64, 1200 North 2nd Street, Vincennes, IN 47591, during normal business hours Monday through Friday or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the above address.
  • The Station will conduct all Contests, including on-air contests, email and online contests held on www.wvubhd.com,  and contests conducted through the Station’s social networking accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter), substantially as described in these rules, and by participating each participant agrees as follows:
  • No purchase is necessary.  Void where prohibited.  All federal, state, and local regulations apply.

 

  • Unless otherwise specified, only legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older with a valid Social Security number at the time of entry are eligible to participate in this Station contest.

  • By participating in a Station contest, each participant agrees to receive email communications from the Station regarding Station events and contests.   • By participating in a Station contest, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of Station personnel. Participants who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified. Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited.     To enter contestant must be a legal U.S. Resident at least 18 years of age.

  2. The “90’s Say What Trivia” contest (the “Contest”) will begin on Wednesday, September7th, 2016 at 11:00AM Eastern Time (“ET”) and end on Wednesday, September 28th, 2016 at 11:59 PM ET (the “Contest Period”).
  3. To participate in the contest, you may enter via the following method:

Tune into Blazer 91.1 WVUB HD (the “Station”) during the Contest Period for the on air host to announce for the “90’s Say What Trivia” to air sometime between 12pm ET and 1pm ET. When you hear the on air host announce “90’s Say What Trivia” be the 1st caller into the Station contest line at 812-888-4347 to play the “90’s Say What Trivia” pending confirmation of eligibility.

The caller will be asked to identify the phrase read by the on-air staff or pre-recorded by another staff person. If the phrase is correctly identified by the caller, the caller will then be awarded a prize. If the caller does not correctly identify the phrase, the caller will then be invited to play the contest again and the staff person will take the next caller.  These rules will repeat until a correct answer is given.

At the time of their call, each caller will be required to give their first and last name. The “90’s Say What Trivia” will be played a minimum of (4) three times during the Contest Period.

  2. These rules govern the Ticket Giveaway (the “Promotion”), which is being conducted by WVUB-FM The Promotion begins on and ends on Friday September 16, 2016.
  3. To enter the Promotion, you may call the station studio line at (812) 888-4347 when alerted by the sounder on beginning on Friday September 16, 2016 at 7:00 am Eastern Time (“ET”) and ending at 4:00 pm on Friday September 16, 2016 ET.

 

The contest will be carried out via phone call.  By calling the station and being the correct number of caller designated by air staff, he or she will coordinate with the designated staffer to retrieve contact information and then arrange for prize pick-up. The winner’s name will also be announced on-air and publicized through the station’s digital media platforms, including social media sites and website.

 

 

Vincennes University Broadcasting WVUB FM known as The Blazer 91.1 WVUB will in no way be liable or responsible for the failure of any phone, other calling instrument, computer, or other device, no matter the reason for the person’s inability to complete the registration process.

  3. To enter the Promotion, you may call the station studio line at (812) 888-4347 when alerted by the sounder on beginning on Friday September 23, 2016 at 7:00 am Eastern Time (“ET”) and ending at 4:00 pm on Friday September 23, 2016 ET.

 

The contest will be carried out via phone call.  By calling the station and being the correct number of caller designated by air staff, he or she will coordinate with the designated staffer to retrieve contact information and then arrange for prize pick-up. The winner’s name will also be announced on-air and publicized through the station’s digital media platforms, including social media sites and website.

Listeners are eligible to win a prize from the Station only once every thirty (30) days, and listeners are eligible to win a prize in a Promotion conducted by the Station only once every sixty (60) days if the prize is valued over $600 and only once per year if prize is valued over $1,000. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any Station promotion.

The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each ticket is $30 ($60 for the pair). The winner will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize. The prize is awarded as is. Tickets valid only on the date(s) printed on the tickets. Tickets are not refundable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time.   1. HOW TO ENTER
  2. These rules govern the Ticket Giveaway (the “Promotion”), which is being conducted by WVUB-FM (the “Station”). The Promotion begins on Wednesday December 14, 2016 and ends on Monday December 19, 2016 (the “Promotion Dates”).
  3. To enter the Promotion, you may enter by texting the word “FAMILY” to our studio line at (812) 888-4347 beginning on Wednesday December 14, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ending at 3:30 p.m. ET Monday December 19, 2016 ET (the “Entry Period”).

 

The contest will be carried out via text. During the texting contest time period, listeners may text the studio line with “FAMILY”. Listeners may text as many entries as they desire throughout the duration of the contest, but only one entry per day through the contest period.  By texting the word “FAMILY”, he or she will be receiving a text message back with a link to an online form to register for the tickets.  The Grand Prize drawing will be carried out following the contest period at 3:30 p.m. .ET December 19th, 2016.  Once selected, the station prize coordinator or designated staffer will contact the person via text or phone for their full contact information and then arrange prize pick-up. The winner’s name will also be announced on-air and publicized through the station’s digital media platforms, including social media sites and website.

Due to delays in the online streaming of the Station’s broadcast signal, listeners to the online stream may not be able to participate in or may be disadvantaged in participating in on-air contests.   3. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
  4. The Promotion is open to all persons who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the geographic listening area of the station. Employees of Vincennes University Broadcasting, the Station, the Station’s Underwriting Agent (collectively, “Promotion Entities”), their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, Station’s advertising and promotional agencies and participating sponsors, other radio stations in the Evansville/Vincennes metropolitan areas, the members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling or child) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not), are ineligible to enter or win. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Entrants are responsible for complying with these Official Rules.

Listeners are eligible to win a prize from the Station only once every thirty (30) days, and listeners are eligible to win a prize in a Promotion conducted by the Station only once every sixty (60) days if the prize is valued over $600 and only once per year if prize is valued over $1,000. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any Station promotion.
  6. The winners may be required to present valid government-issued photo identification and must provide their complete address, date of birth and phone number to claim a prize.
  7. Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility requirements and will also delete any entry as required by law.
  8. PRIZES
  9. 1 prize pack will be awarded during this contest. The prize consists of a family four package of tickets to Paw Patrol Live at the Murat Center in Indianapolis on December 30, 2016.  The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the prize pack is $118. The winner will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize. The prize is awarded as is. The prize pack is not refundable and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced. Tickets may not be sold to a third party. If a prize-related event does not take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, including for weather, or for any reason beyond the control of the Promotion Entities, their sole responsibility to the winner will be to award the remaining available elements of the prize and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the un-awarded elements of the prize.
  10. No more than the stated number of prizes specified in these official rules will be awarded. All prizes or prize certificates for this contest will be mailed to the winner, with the prior consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
  11. The Prize(s) is not transferable, and no substitution, assignment, or cash equivalent of prize is permitted, except by the Station (solely at its discretion), which reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize portion with another prize or prize portion of greater or equal value. The prize(s) are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and unless otherwise expressly specified, do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Entrants acknowledge that the Promotion Entities have not made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranties, representations or guarantees, and hereby disclaim any and all warranties expressed or implied, in fact or in law, whether now or hereafter enacted concerning any prize, including without limitation, implied warranties of quality, merchantability, mechanical condition, or fitness for a particular purpose, except for any express manufacturer’s warranty as may be included with the prize or as may be separately provided to participants by law.   12. POTENTIAL WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
  13. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the Promotion are final.
  14. One (1) winner will be selected as described in Section 1 of these Official Rules.
  15. Odds of winning a prize depend in part upon the number and order of calls/texts received.
  16. Entrants must listen to the Station to win a prize, but need not be present.
  17. Potential prize winners will be notified at the time of their call. Prizes will be awarded only upon confirmation of eligibility and completion of all requisite releases. The winner must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release. If a potential winner cannot be contacted or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner forfeits the prize. The winner will be asked to pick up the prize at the business office during regular business hours (8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. ET weekdays)
    Due to holiday hours of Vincennes University, if tickets are unclaimed by 4:00 p.m. December 22, 2016; the prize will be forfeited.

The winner may be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize and will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station (or any other CBS Radio station in Station’s market) in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize. Such winnings of $600 or more will be reported to the IRS.

Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize constitutes entrant’s and/or winner’s (and guest’s, if applicable) permission for the Station or its agents to interview the winner(s) (or guest(s), if applicable), to photograph, film, and record each winner (or guest, if applicable), and to use in commerce and in any media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, his/her name, prize won, hometown (city and state), biographic information, likeness, photograph, voice, audio or video recording, and/or any statements made by him/her regarding the Station, the Promotion, and/or its sponsor(s) for purposes of trade, publicity, or promotion without notice or additional compensation, notification, or permission, in perpetuity except where prohibited by law.

If for any reason this Promotion cannot be executed as planned, including but not limited to, as a result of infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Released Parties that corrupt or affect the security, administration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, or if the Promotion is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, the Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend, and/or modify the Promotion.
