Vincennes University’s Business and Public Service Division and the VU Alumni Association are proud to be hosting the First Annual “Soles for Education” 5K & 10K Walk/Run event.

Registration is currently underway for the event, which will be held on April 21, 2012 at 8am.

Both races feature a flat course highlighting Vincennes’ rich historic background from the Vincennes University campus, to Indiana’s First Main Street, and through the George Rogers Clark National Historical Park.

Both courses will be measured by Mattoon Multisport, who will also be in charge of timing for both races.

Proceeds from the race will go towards scholarships for VU students majoring in programs within the Business & Public Service Division. Such programs include Electronic Media, Business & Management, Information Technology and Law & Safety and Homeland Security programs.  More information about the BPS Division programs can be found HERE.

All race participants who pre-register by April 6, 2012 will receive a high quality technical event t-shirt.

Race participants will also be provided a shoe chip for electronic timing.

Music and entertainment for participants and families will be provided by the Blazer WVUB at the start/finish line area located behind the Wathen Business Building on the VU campus, along with door prizes and much more!
