Vincennes Arrests

 A Vincennes man was arrested after a traffic stop early this morning.

   Vincennes police pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation near 6th and Depot Streets just before 2am.

   59-year old Victor May was arrested for driving under the influence–after he tested .10 on a chemical test.

   He was taken to the Knox County Jail.

   Vincennes police were called to the Dollar General store yesterday around 4:30pm on a shoplifting report.

   Police apprehended the suspect as she was trying to flee the store.

   Police say 48-year old Virginia Hughes of Terre Haute had attempted to take about 18-dollars worth of merchandise from the store.

   Also in her possession was marijuana and paraphernalia.

   She was booked into the Knox County Jail and faces charges of theft, possession of marijuana and reckless possession of paraphernalia.
