Hundreds Turn out for Canine Demonstration

It was a packed house Wednesday night for the police canine demonstration in Vincennes.
Hundreds of spectators turned out for the event–hosted by the Knox County Sheriff’s Department and the American Police Canine Association.
A break in the weather allowed for the event to proceed–demonstrating several tactical maneuvers involving the police canines.
Canines were able to showcase their abilitities to track suspects through the crowd–sniff out planted drugs in vehicles and even chase down suspects.
The evening concluded with a fireworks display–after a short delay due to an accident–involving a small gas leak in a nearby parking lot.
Officials with the Canine association say they are very impressed with last night’s turnout.
The Canine Nationals event is wrapping up with a banquet ceremony tonight.
