Bridgeport Man Arrested After Two State Chase

A Bridgeport, IL man is arrested after a two-state police chase.

Lawrence County, Illinois Deputies says 31-year old Ricky Broachin was arrested in Bridgeport yesterday afternoon–after a chase with Knox County Deputies–which began in Vincennes.

Around 3pm Eastern time–Knox County sheriff deputies attempted to stop the truck Broachin was driving–due to the truck not having a license plate.

Broachin refused to pull-over–and instead led police across the state line on US-50.  Officers attempted to use stop-sticks twice–with the second attempt in Bridgeport, Illinois successful.

Once Broachin stopped his truck–he fled on foot–but was apprehended a short time later.  Police say they discovered Broachin had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

He faces numerous fleeing and resisting charges in both states–as well as a meth possession charge.
