A new parking lot at the corner of a busy Vincennes intersection is back on track.
City Engineer John Sprague appeared before the Vincennes Redevelopment Commission Thursday to give commission members an update on the project at Sixth and Main, which had been put on hold while spring roadwork was underway in the city.
Now that the roadwork has, for the most part, wrapped up, Sprague has put more of a focus on the project, which will see a 30 space lot be put in place across from the former New Moon. The asphalt lot will also bring with it new entry ways and sidewalks in the area.
Sprague says he hopes to have construction underway later this year, and is confident the project will stay under the allotted funding.
