The public is invited to the opening a unqiue art exhibit in Downtown Vincennes this week.
On Valentine’s Day, the ‘Love Wins’ event will be hosted at Art Space Vincennes, and is being presented by Hope for the Future, a collaboration between artist Fernando Lozano and Pride on the Wabash.
Lozano’s artwork, Discrimination Under God, Indiana 2015 will be on display at the museum. A $10 donation to Hope for the Future will entitle the donor to tie a colorful ribbon onto the fencing grid that covers Lozano’s painting as a symbol of “covering the past with hope for the future.” Those donations will go towards the opening of The Catalyst Center, a community hub for LGBTQ+ people and their friends.
Donations can also be made to RAICES, nonprofit agency that promotes justice by providing free and low-cost legal services to under served immigrant children, families and refugees.
The ‘Love Wins’ event will run from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Art Space Vincennes, located at 521 Main St. The event is free and open to the public.
