GIFTS of HOPE for JOPLIN
Scott Shipmen reports that: VU’s Christian Campus Fellowship is collecting new gifts for all ages (adults included) to send to Joplin, Missouri to bring some “Hope” to those families who have lost everything in the tornado.
The school, clubs, etc. can start collecting gifts and wrapping them. What we ask is that you put a tag that can be removed from the gift with gender, age, and what is inside the wrapped package.
Please feel free to drop off unwrapped gifts or wrapping paper, bows and tape as well. We will have a wrapping “bee” on a couple of days early in December and will encourage clubs and organizations that need community service hours to help us wrap gifts.
Also, please do not put a bow on the gift. You may bring one that we can put on when they gift is unloaded for distribution in Joplin. Otherwise they will likely be destroyed in transit.
Gifts and supplies can be dropped off now until December 5th at CCF Monday – Thursday from 9am to 3pm.
Christian Campus Fellowship is located at 102 E. Lynndale Avenue in Vincennes, adjacent to the VU Campus.
